CHURCHES TOGETHER: Today is Good Friday and there will be a procession starting at 10.30 am at St Peter’s Catholic Church and following the cross to The Market Square. There will be an open air service followed by the distribution of Hot Cross Buns, Then on Easter Sunday there will be an open air sunrise service. FLIX CINEMA: Last week over 40 people saw “Me Before You” at Biggleswade’s only Big Screen Cinema. The current season ends next month. “Sunset Song” will be shown on Saturday, May 13. Doors open at 2.30pm and the film begins at 3pm. Admission is just £4.00 payable at the door. This is a friendly community activity that is open to all and takes place in the Canada Block at Biggleswade Academy in Mead End, SG18 8JU. TOWN TWINNING: Biggleswade is twinned with Erlensee in Germany and in June a party of 14 plan to visit on a festival weekend. Fancy joining them? FAIRTRADE: For 10 years a group of volunteers have been promoting Fairtrade in the town.. They meet next Tuesday, April 18 at 8pm in Café Mocha. All welcome. The next event will be at Ickwell May Day on May 1 when there will be a stall with a Fairtrade pairs game and other activities.
